About Pelorus Trust
The Pelorus Trust is a charitable trust based in Wellington which raises funds for charitable, philanthropic and sporting purposes through the operation of gaming machines. We are a mid-sized gaming trust operating machines from hotels and taverns between Kaitaia and Christchurch.
Funds raised are generally returned to community groups or organisations from the areas located around these venues.
The Trust maintains an open and equitable funding regime that enables non-profit organisations such as sports clubs, cultural groups, and community-based societies or trusts to apply for funds through a transparent and efficient application process.
If you are from a group that is considering applying, this website should provide you with all the information you need to know about making an application. In particular, please read the funding criteria information contained in the Applications section of the website prior to completing an application form.
Applications must be received 2 working days prior to Trust meetings, which are generally held twice each month. Upcoming meeting dates are posted on the left-side bar of the website. Decision letters are sent out within 3 days of the meeting.
As the Trustees cannot consider retrospective applications (ie, claims for expenditure that has already been paid), please ensure that you submit your application well in advance of when you require the funds.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Trust office if you have any queries.
